This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies to all paid subscriptions to Aura, operated by Ink & Ivy Marketing Private Limited (CIN U73100HR2024PTC118970). Please read it carefully before subscribing.
1. No Refund Policy
All subscription fees paid for Aura’s Pro and Premium plans (monthly or annual) are final and non-refundable.
This applies whether you:
- Cancel your subscription mid-cycle,
- Stop using the Platform after subscribing,
- Are dissatisfied with AI-generated outputs (which are subjective and depend on inputs),
- Forget to cancel before an auto-renewal date,
- Lose access to your payment method, or
- Switch between plans.
Because Aura is a digital service that begins performance immediately upon subscription and consumes computing and AI inference costs from the first generation, fees are not refundable once the subscription is active.
2. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future auto-renewals; it does not refund the current billing period.
To cancel:
- Go to Profile → Manage Subscription in the Aura app or website, or
- Email hello@theauralabs.ai from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line “Cancel Subscription.”
Cancellations are effective at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain access to paid features until that date. After that, your account automatically reverts to the Basic (free) tier.
3. Auto-Renewal Reminder
Paid subscriptions auto-renew by default. Please cancel before your renewal date if you do not wish to be charged again. We are not able to issue refunds for charges that occur because a cancellation request was submitted after the renewal date.
4. Discretionary Refunds — Limited Exceptions
In limited circumstances, we may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund or service credit. These include:
- A duplicate charge caused by a payment-system error.
- A confirmed billing error on our side (for example, you were charged for a plan you did not subscribe to).
- A documented, prolonged, and unresolved technical failure that prevented you from accessing paid features for a substantial portion of your billing cycle, where the failure was attributable to Aura.
To request a discretionary review, email hello@theauralabs.ai within 7 days of the charge with: (a) the email registered to your account, (b) the transaction reference, and (c) a description of the issue along with any supporting evidence (screenshots, error messages). We will respond within 7 business days. Submission does not guarantee a refund.
5. Approved Refund — How It’s Processed
Where we approve a refund or partial credit, the amount will be returned to your original payment method within 7 to 14 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider. We will email you a confirmation. Aura is not responsible for delays caused by your bank, card issuer, or payment processor.
6. EU / UK Consumer Rights
Consumers in the EU/UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal under distance-selling rules. By starting your subscription and using Aura’s AI features within that period, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge loss of the withdrawal right. See Section 5.1 of the Terms of Service. If you did not start using paid features and are within 14 days of subscribing, contact us at hello@theauralabs.ai to request a refund of the unused portion.
7. Free (Basic) Tier
The Basic tier is offered free of charge. No refunds apply because no payment is taken.
8. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback through your card issuer or bank without first contacting us at hello@theauralabs.ai may result in immediate suspension of your account pending investigation. Please reach out to us first — we will work to resolve the issue directly.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or through the Platform. The version in effect at the time of your transaction governs that transaction.
